4 Simple Steps to Becoming a Meditator
My very first video is finally here! I am so excited to share it with you, but first, let me tell you a little bit about Ana Guarisma TV and the motivation behind it. This is the start of this new project that I have been working on with tons of love, and I am really opening my heart to all of you, so I hope you enjoy it but most of all, I hope it serves you.
This is the story of a little girl who was abandoned by her mother and spent most of her childhood depressed, a girl who grew up with a sense of worthlessness and a feeling of not belonging to anything or anyone. A girl who kept her head in the clouds to avoid her reality, a girl who left her home and country of birth on her own at a young age with one purpose, to live life to the fullest. That little girl was me.
I am not here to start a pity party; I now live what I consider a joyful life, with many ups and downs like everybody but overall joyful. I work persistently towards my self-growth, doing everything and anything that resonates with my heart so that I can become the best version of myself, but more than anything I wake up everyday making the choice to enjoy this journey. And then I fall off the wagon sometimes too.
Now I am here to tell you that I am not a psychologist, a spiritual guru, nor a life coach. I am a lifer just like you, trying to learn from life’s interesting challenges and trying to decode the definition of “doing the right thing”. I am just a seeker who at a very young age started to submerge her self into psychology, spirituality and self-help books and courses, desperately looking for some kind of guidance. My life has turned out to be quite colorful since then, and as the years passed by, I got this passionate urge to share pieces of information that truly helped me throughout my greatest struggles.
The fact is that 19 million American adults struggle with depression every year. Depression has never been a stranger to me; in fact I got to know it so well that I mastered my way out of it and I’d like to share some of those techniques with you.
This is what Ana Guarisma TV is all about; it is a piece of my work with the purpose to share some of the lessons that I have learned, and some others that I am still trying to learn while in my search to becoming Simplemente happy. This is a piece of me that can hopefully become a piece of you.
In this first video I will share some basic tips on how to become a meditator. I figured I would start with what I consider one of the best and most powerful tools that I have learned. Meditation is a simple technique that allows you to quiet your mind and live in the present. I have learned that most times our biggest enemy is right between our ears.
