The importance of your tribe
We’ve all heard that quote “Your vibe attracts your tribe”, but I really think it goes both ways. Even for those of us who have really strong personalities, the influence from the people around us is absolutely undeniable. Without even thinking about it too much, we know exactly which family member to call when we’re in trouble, which friend to look for when we’re sad, or which member of our tribe to ask when we need advice. Energy speaks louder than words; therefore the need to have people around you that love you and support you, people who accept who you are and who understand your visions, it’s extremely important.
I am an introvert, as crazy as that may seem, so my tribe consists of only a few people, but these people I keep around are as special as they come, and this is why I wanted to share some of them with you in the next few days, but I also want to tell you about the qualities that my tribe has in common. Now, I am not saying that you should keep out the people in your life who do not have these qualities, instead what I want to convey is that these are the kind of people that I feel drawn to.
I believe that relationships are an exchange of energy. There should be something to learn from them and something to teach them.
How does this compatible exchange manifests it self?
We recognize it all the time, sometimes we meet people that we feel instantly attracted to and sometimes we meet people that we have no interest in what so ever. This is energy speaking.
Admiration, inspiration, love, and support, but mainly joyful. In my opinion, these are the main qualities that indicate the chemistry amongst my tribe. So in these few days I will share with you, some of those special characters in my life, why they qualify to be part of my tribe and, what they said when I asked them, what makes them simplemente happy?

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
I read a meme yesterday which I loved that said: “If you know me based on who I was a year ago, you don’t know me at all. My growth game is strong. Allow me to introduce myself”. So funny! yet very accurate in my case, I have to confess I am not very disciplined when it comes to exercising, and even thought I am vegetarian and I tend to eat quite healthy, sweets make my knees weak. However my practice towards personal and spiritual growth is something I never miss out on.
Besides meditation, prayer, and practicing gratitude on a daily basis, reading fills my heart with joy; so I really want to share with you what I’m reading right now.
Big Magic is a marvelous book by Elizabeth Gilbert (@elizabeth_gilbert_writer ) author of Eat Pray Love. This book is about creative living beyond fear, and I absolutely love it. This woman writes with a beautiful touch of realness, and a bit of sarcasm from time to time, mixed with a flawless and almost poetic flow of words.
My favorite quote from her is:
People tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will descend like fine weather if you’re fortunate. But happiness is the result of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly.
And I leave you with that.
